I finally got Tristin in for his 3 year pictures (he's 3 years 5 months). I'm a little slow lately...I still haven't sent out my Christmas cards. UGH! I know, I know...bad.

Here are the shots we got. Tristin had soooooooo much fun. He was posing and laughing and was just a good boy. We were out of there in less than 15 minutes. That has to be a record! Oh and we went casual...cause my iron pooped on his dress shirt that he was going to wear. LOL! I had just bought him this shark shirt (he's obsessed with them), so it just seemed fitting. He's so cute...if I do say so myself. ;)

Want a laugh? I'm going to scrap this picture this weekend...it's making me laugh...so, I thought I'd share it before I scrap it. This is my brother and I in our costumes for our first dance recital. My brother's last...my first. LOL!!!! 1975...He was 5 and I was 4.

Don't you love it when you find the perfect kit for your pictures? I've been holding onto these pics of the boys playing in this box. Just didn't know what to do with them. Then, BINGO found this kit of Carrie's at www.fishscraps.com. Perfection. ;) Thanks Carrie for having boys and thinking boys and making awesome boy kits! LOL!

Paxtin's First Hair Cut

I got brave tonight and decided to try it myself. I cut Anakin, Tristin and David's hair. I've just been putting Paxtin's cut off...I just didn't want to see his curls disappear. He has my curls...and well, I don't have a girl, but I have a boy with gorgeous curls! LOL! So, I gave him a sucker and got to work. I cut maybe an 1/2 inch at the most all over and in the back where it was the longest, probably an inch. It's still long, but that's the way we wanted it! I love it. It still curls and you can't tell where I missed pieces. (I could when I gave him a bath after his cut). Oh, and that's not a cigar in the "after" picture. LOL! It's a pretzel. ;)

We had the perfect date! Dinner at "The Park" a new place in town (a little more fancy than we're used to...okay a lot more), ice cream from "Cold Stone Creamery" (our first time there too) and then we watched a little bit of a movie at home before picking up the kids. It was so quiet and relaxing. David did get me flowers...I still need to take a picture!

Here is a layout using one of the pictures that Tristin took! He and Anakin both took pictures, but by the time Tristin took this one, we were loosened up a little. :) Add a few alterations using DIP and Virtual Photographer and it's a winner! (The layout is a lift of Ritascottage.)

Happy Valentine's Day!

I love Valentine's Day. It's the one day of the year that I can get away with scrappin' something for the boys in PINK! No, really, I just love the color red, the hopes of getting flowers and just being with my honey. He's got something planned for tonight. The boys will be at the sitters early and we have early reservations. Umm...going out to eat? LOL! I have a feeling where it is...a new place in town. We'll see if I'm right! We need to take a few pictures of ourselves all dressed up. We don't do that much anymore...even to church. Most of the times it's jeans. Stay tuned for pictures!

Notice my new blinkie to the right? I'm so honored to be a part of the Fish Scraps Creative Team! I don't often say that I'm proud of myself...but, you know what I am. I started digi scrapping not even a year ago. I didn't even know what a Creative Team was...even in the paper scrapping world! (And I had been scrapping for 6 years then.) So, this new world that has opened up to me is amazing. I'm excited... I'm proud... I'm happy... I'm so sleep deprived!!!! LOL! So, thank you Carrie! I can't wait to show off your amazing, unique creations!

Speaking of being sleep deprived... Tristin only slept a total of 5 hours last night. He was up coughing most of the night. All I can say is UGH! David stayed up with him for most the time...and then slept in bed with him the rest of the night. I thank God for David. ;) He's still coughing bad tonight, but we upped his breathing treatments and hopefully, that'll help. (He has asthma.) Now, it seems like Paxtin has a cold now. His nose is running like crazy and he's been up 2 times already tonight. Pray for us. ;)

2.12.2006

I finally got Paxtin 1 year pictures taken (hey, at least it was before he was 13 months). I so wish I was a photographer. It would be fun getting more pictures of him. But, Sears Portrait Studio does a good for me...CHEAP. :) So, these are the shots we got.

Now I can get his hair trimmed. It keeps getting into his eyes. I'm just praying some of the curl will stay. I have high hopes because my curls are natural.

It's been a rough morning with Anakin. I love him so much...he tests my patience daily. I never thought it would be this hard to be a Mom. I decided to work on a layout of him to help calm me. LOL! Here is what I did: (this was taken in 2004)

Here's a recent picture & layout of Tristin:

and of Paxtin!

Okay, I know not a lot of people read my blog, but I still have to give a shout out to the bestest (love that word) and newest digi designer - Amy Tanabe! She sells at http://acherryontop.com. I am in love with her kits!!!! I did these layouts tonight. I wish I could stay up all night long and do more.

[ring #1] - Anakin was sick today. He was running a fever when he went to bed last night. Well, it ends up he woke up without a fever and didn't have one all day long. UGH! I still didn't think he should have gone...but, today was stressful. Thank God, once again, that I have a hobby that I love and can relax while doing it. Now, if I could just stop long enough to EXERCISE! LOL! Tomorrow is another day.

2.04.2006

We've had a busy past 3 days! Anakin turned 6 on the 2nd and got to go to his first concert all on the same day! David and I took him to see the Winter Jam tour which included Hawk Nelson, Newsong, Zoe Girl, Toby Mac and my favorite Christian group, the Newsboys! http://www.newsboys.com Anakin has been listening to them since he was born...and he loves them. So, this was exciting!

This is Anakin...the stage is behind him in the distance. This was a "pay $10 at the door" concert, so in 1/2 hour the lower bowl was packed! We still had a ball though. Check out the cool necklace Anakin got as a souvenir. (We foresee Rap being in his future.) LOL!

Friday, Anakin got to have a big birthday party with his classmates. To our surprise almost all the kids came! Imagine...20 - 5 & 6 year olds...plus, Tristin, who is 3 and Paxtin, 1. PLUS, siblings and a few helpful parents. WOW. He chose a new location here in town that has a play area like McD's, putt putt golf and video games. We had pizza and cupcakes and he received so many presents. For the record, this will be the last time we do a BIG party. It was too much!!!!

Here are a couple pictures from the night. Anakin finally got his Star Wars party...and Tristin finally got to eat some 'cake'. I think the boy could live on it!

So, today is actually MY 35th birthday. This is a birthday that I haven't really been looking forward to. I look at as being 1/2 way to 40 (yes, I know...1/2 way to 40 was TWENTY!) I had a lot of things I wanted to have done by the time I was 35. The big one was that I wanted to be done having kids. I am done, but there is still a void. I wanted more than 3 kids. I always have. Even though my boys are more work than I EVER imagined, I still wish I could have more. Obviously, God had other plans...Infertility, other health issues have held me back. We are still going to adopt our little girl though, so I have that to look forward to and her birth will be an amazing one. Right? I think it's just it being so final... ugh!

My day. David and I took the day off today. We made plans with a friend to watch all 3 boys for the day. We lounged this morning and then got ready and went and had lunch at the Olive Garden (YUM!). We went and saw "Narnia" for the first time. I'm embarrassed to say...I fell asleep in it! It wasn't because I didn't like it, it was only because I was exhausted! (Paxtin is getting 3 teeth right now and was up a couple times last night.) Then, we went and bought my WACOM TABLET!!!! Thanks to my MIL & FIL for the awesome birthday present. ;) We then ate supper at a place we've never been too before - out of town and finished our night off where we always do...Walmart. Why do we always end up there? LOL! We picked up the boys and found out they had an adventurous day too. They were all in good moods and all went down for the night with no complaints. Thank you God & Jenny! :) Oh..and Jenny had the boys make me cards (TOO CUTE) and they made me a cake. I could have cried..Seriously. David got me some new perfume...my fav...TRESOR and 2 games and a movie. Now, I'm off to do some scrappin'! Night!

One from the archives.

I've been having so much fun working on current pictures, that 2004 pictures have been forgotten...well, almost. I saw these pictures last night and couldn't believe it's been 2 years already! So, I scrapped them and something amazing happened! I can tell you that this layout only took me 1/2 hour to make. It only took that long because it takes that long to open the folders, find what you want, change the color, erase what you don't want (lines) and save it! I love this page!!!!

I'll have more to share later tonight...it's Anakin's birthday today and we're taking him to see the Newsboys tonight!!!! YEAH!!!!

[ring #3] It's all about Paxtin. He turned 1 recently and when I saw Dani's new paper and embellishment pack "Clownin' Around", I had to scrap this picture. He was so happy on his birthday and these papers make me happy! :) Click on Dani's blog link to the right and check out her blog. She is an awesome digi designer!!!! :)

[ring #2] I can't leave Tristin out! He's something else lately. He's 3...need I say more? He's such a sweet heart, but man, he's really pushing buttons lately. He's also been sick this week...so, things seem worse. If we can just get him to stay in bed EVERY night. LOL!
