We also went to our church's "2006 lbs of Candy Give-a-way". Basically, they wanted to get 2006 lbs of candy to give away...they had games and a bunch of those bouncey fun houses for the kids. They gave away a bike, CD player, a few Easter baskets and a few other things...oh, and a video IPOD. Nope, we didn't win it. LOL! The boys actually only got a handful each of candy and a few trinkets. We were happy about that. Every year they get TOO much candy. The church does this just to 'show the community that we love them'.
This morning the boys and I also made our "Resurrection Buns". This was our 2nd year to make them. Basically, it's a biscuit, some butter and cinnamon sugar and a marshmallow. The biscuit is the tomb, butter and sugar are what they used to anoint Jesus at burial and the marshmallow...well, that's Jesus. LOL! You wrap the marshmallow with the biscuit and bake it and put it in the fridge overnight. (You're suppose to do this the night before Easter Sunday, but we decided to go ahead and do it all in one day.) When you bite into the biscuit...well, Jesus (the marshmallow...stay with me here) isn't there. He isn't in the tomb...he is ALIVE. Just a simple way of explaining to the kids what Easter is REALLY about. It's not the eggs, the Easter bunny, the candy, the baskets filled with stuff. They get it. As much as kids can.
Tomorrow is a big day. Not only because we're celebrating Jesus being alive...David is playing drums at our Easter church service and I'm helping Anakin's class out. David has to be there at 8am, me at 8:30am...the service doesn't start until 10am and I'm sure won't be done before 1pm. So, it'll be a long morning for us! We still haven't colored eggs...I think we'll save that for tomorrow afternoon. I know, we're late, but we don't do anything with the eggs besides look at them and then cut them up for egg salad sandwiches. ;)
By the way...I got a few awesome pictures of the boys. I'm going to save them for a contest I just learned about. I entered. Check out www.digiscrappin.biz for more info! (Kellie, are you going to enter? Hint Hint!)
More tomorrow...

Yes, that's right, David shaved his head! He's been thinking about doing it for a long time and this week, it was time. His hair had gotten really long (for him) and we shaved it really short...and then he decided to go bald.
I love it. This is his before and after picture. The before picture was taken in January (his hair was MUCH longer than that). ;)
I just got home from taking the boys to the Children's Museum here in town, out for lunch at McD's and then to Walmart...I'm exhausted and all 3 are taking naps! WhooooHOOOOO! But, where am I? On my computer....and why? Because I got my CD from Kim today!!!! Remember that contest I won? www.creativesnaps.com I'm so excited...and my CK magazine came today too. It's a bonus mail day for me!
4.12.2006
since I've blogged! David, Anakin and Paxtin are all healthy once again...thank GOD! It was bad.
First off, if you have time, stop by www.designbydani.com tomorrow night! Check out this rockin' kit! You get the patterned papers for free and you can find out how you can get the rest of the kit at the chat!!! You don't want to miss it!
Here is a layout I created with the kit...you've got to see the glitter eggs for yourself. They are amazing. This picture of my layout doesn't do it justice! Dani ROCKS! :)
Just a little teaser...tonight I helped my hubby SHAVE HIS HEAD! He's been talking about it for a loooong time. It will take a little getting used to, but it looks awesome! He has a good head. LOL!
I'm sure there 1,000 things I could blog about, but I feel like scrapping! Oh, I will show you my updated avatar...with glasses!
4.08.2006
You have GOT to see my new avatar, it's the cutest thing!
They forgot to put my glasses on me, but they will do it soon (the artist is on the road for the next 10 days). You've got to check them out... www.blessthischick.com. I just gave them a few details like, long curly brown hair with bangs, glasses and my favorite color is sage. Okay, I don't wear blue eyeshadow or a dress that says FOX on it, but awww...she's adorable! ;) I should probably explain that I'm not a snob or think I'm "all that". My last name is Fox and if you'll notice my blog address...yep, it's that. I also use it for my favorite IMer.
Okay, I really am going to bed now!
Paxtin - on day 7 of being sick; he smiled today...it seems like my happy boy is coming back! Although last night was rough! He was up a lot last night and I think we had 4 diarrhea diapers JUST during the night.
Tristin - has NOT gotten sick! Do I dare say yet? He's usually the one that gets sick. I took him out for supper tonight and to run a few errands. It was nice to get away from the sickies for a bit!
Anakin - on day 2 of being sick. He missed the past 2 days of school and he's NOT happy about it! He's been puking...and the diarrhea just started before bed. UGH!!!!!!!
David - well, when I got home from running errands, his temp was 102.9. He tends to run high fevers but he hadn't taken ANYTHING for it. I was like...HELLO?! Fever is good sometimes, but that high? (That's his excuse for not taking anything.)
Me - I'm fine. I feel a little cooped up and I'd like to breath some fresh air! (That's why Tristin and I went out tonight.) I scrapped a few pages in the past few days. Now, I feel like I can't scrap. Maybe it's just because I've got so much going on with the sickies. Here are my pages:
From our trip to Chicago. This is Tristin watching the sharks at Shedd. Credits: Carrie Stephen's kits, "Wish" and "Baby Cakes" from www.fishscraps.com
Tristin watching the Zebras at the zoo in Chicago. I think of all the boys, Tristin enjoyed the zoo the most. This was the first time he saw a real zebra. Credits: Kim Christensen's "Black" patterned paper and elements from her Color CD at www.scrapbook-bytes.com. The Z is by the wonderful Shabby Princess and is available at www.theshabbyshoppe.com.
Okay, the last two won't post, so I'll try them later. It's almost 1 am and I'm taking Tristin to an Easter thing at David's work in the morning. We have to be there at 8am! UGH! (Anakin and Paxtin are probably going to miss out this year. Actually, this is our first year going, so I have no clue what to expect. I have a feeling that Tristin would have been the one to get into it anyway. He's 3 1/2 and still okay with kiddie stuff. Anakin is 6 and getting older, but still likes to have fun...and Paxtin, he's too young. So, hopefully, I'll get some new pictures to scrap! :)
Note to self: (hopefully posting it here will force me to do it!)
1. Call Leah - she's going to kill me if I don't! I owe her a call!
2. Order Mom's pictures (layouts) from Walmart.
3. Have Anakin do his Thank you cards...if he's feeling up to it.
4. Take the roast out of the freezer...of course, who is going to eat it? Me? LOL!
Night!
4.05.2006
It's been a little longer than I thought it'd be to leave an update. ugh!
Since we got home from Chicago...Paxtin has been sick. We think it's the Rotovirus. We haven't taken him to the doctor because we know there's nothing they can do...we're just waiting it out. He's acting a little more normal this morning. Thank God. I think he had 17 poopy diapers yesterday...and a lot of them he soaked through his pants, shorts, pj bottoms...anything we could find to put on him! LOL!!!! I have to say, it's nice not to have to tell Paxtin to get down every 5 minutes! I tell you, this child just wants to CLIMB!
Anakin... I took him to get a good pair of tennis shoes last night. I took him to Stride Rite because his feet are soooo flat and I figured that he needs a good supporting shoe. I found out he has two different sized feet! 11 1/2 and 12! (He was wearing a 12 1/2 in 'cheap shoes'.) He went off to school today looking adorable. ;)
And then there's Tristin. We're working on the potty training issue. He can do it. He's just lazy about it. I have been too. So, we're working on that together. We found something to help motivate him...he gets ice cream for his bedtime snack IF he stays dry all day. Yesterday, he had one wet pull up...but, he stayed dry during his nap, which is a miracle. But, no ice cream. Today, he woke up dry! Another miracle...so, our day is starting off well. :) I think he's missing playing with Paxtin...he's all in his face this morning. UGH!
Me...I've just been taking care of the boys, trying to fix more meals at home, working on my creative team assignments a little here and there AND working on Digital Freebies stuff. I think they are now calling me the "Product Manager"...LOL! It's starting to get warmer here and I'm looking forward to getting outside with the boys more. Oh and garage sale stuff...working on that too. Shooting for having one in May. I think that's when they start getting hot here. :)
I'll have some layouts later today (hopefully).
4.04.2006
Okay, I don't win a lot of things...so, this is exciting for me! I won the Creative Snaps contest! You can see it here... www.creativesnaps.com or here www.kimcrothers.com. Yippppeeeee!!!!
I've got lots to update on...our trip to Chicago, Paxtin being sick and other stuff...but, that'll have to wait until tomorrow. Night! :)
