Okay, I've been told that something is too wide and that's why the right side of my blog gets pushed down...ugh! I don't know HTML...I don't know how to fix it. It comes and goes. Can anyone help me?
[New Site - EBB Creations!]
It's new to me. It's new to Digital Scrapbooking. Two of my best IRL (in real life) buddies are hanging there...so, I'm now there. They are looking for digital designers to sell there....check them out: www.ebbcreations.com. They've got some cool free fonts too (but I tried to download them and it didn't work...I'll pm Enrique about that tomorrow).
[Sunday Night, UDS and My 1 Year Digi Anniversary]
It's "the day" I find out if I'm one more step closer to being the Ultimate Digi Scrapper. You know, Friday was my 1 year digi Anniversary...and when I think about going from my first layout to the 4th round in the contest in one year. Darn, I'm proud! Who cares (well, I will slightly) if I don't make it to the next round! I know I have a lot to learn and my style is evolving everyday...I'm so blessed to have been embraced by the digi community as I have...my Creative Teams, the designers are amazing. :) I could go on and on. Oh man, I'm tired and can't think...night!
5.26.2006
I'm laughing HARD at this...because it's probably more true than I'd like to admit! (Not to say that I think people think I'm a major babe! LOL!)
You Are Jan Brady |
Brainy and a little introverted, you tend to think life is a lot worse than it actually is. And while you may think you're a little goofy looking, most people consider you to be a major babe. |
Can this really be? I made it to Round 4!!! :) This week's challenge is "Free Style". If you're a scrapper and know about Autumn Leaves' Free Style book...it's like that. Just being yourself and not following any rules. Now, I thought (as many others do too) it was all about doodling and collage and it's not. Check out their blog: http://www.autumnleaves.com/freestyle/ .
So, my layout this week... http://www.digiscrappin.biz/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=6781&cat=500&ppuser=1460 I don't feel confident this week. We're going from 40 to 7! Now, if I do make it, I'll fall over in shock...if I don't, I'm still so proud of myself and the layouts I've created. I do, however, feel more confident about my style...even if I do like to switch styles a lot! I get so much inspiration from my digi friends. More on them another time. I need some time to share something about my boys!
[My Broken Heart]
Anakin and I had a little tift last night. It was all about American Idol and I made a comment about how I was happy Taylor won. OH MY GOSH...the child had a fit. He was holding a paper airplane that he had made and was sitting only 3 feet away from me. He threw the airplane and it hit me in the lips. IT HURT!!!! I yelled at him. Yes, I shouldn't have yelled, but I was ticked. The child is six years old and knows better! Now, after the fact, he said he didn't know it'd go my direction, he just meant to throw it straight. Okay, whatever. What happened next didn't have anything to do with the airplane mishap! He did a little "time out" and then we talked. At the end of the convo I asked him for a hug. He said NO. Oh, man...he was so snotty when he said it and we had JUST finished talking about stuff. So, I left him in his room...it was bed time anyway. I just had to go breath. You know what I mean? So, I went back and we talked about respect and blah blah blah again. So, I thought he understood and so I asked again...I REALLY should know better. He's not a touch feely boy and hugs are hard to come by. But, he's my boy, my first born and I love him so much. He told me no again and I lost it. I'm an emotional person. I was tired and I just cried (in the privacy of my bedroom). Now, Tristin (who is 3 1/2) heard the second NO. He told his Daddy, "I want to get Mommy a new heart because Anakin broke hers." Where oh where does he get this? I should have asked Tristin for the hug. He's my hugger. Now...fast forward to tonight. I was tucking the boys in and I sat on the end of Anakin's bed waiting for David to come in so we could pray with the boys. Anakin...very shyly said, "Mommy, can I give you a hug?" I was shocked. I said, "Of course you can." There's my sweet boy! He really is there!
[Paxtin]
Okay, I've got to add this "Paxtin funny". Last night I was in the kitchen with the gate up because the little 16 month old MONKEY likes to climb our counter high chairs! UGH! So, he came over and handed me a wet diaper over the gate. I said thank you and went back to cleaning. I didn't really think twice about it because we've been throwing the diapers in the hallway to throw outside and yes, there are times I forget to grab them. Long story short...Paxtin has a thing with wet diapers! He kept getting into the diaper pale! YUCK! So, I just thought he got it from the hallway. About 5 minutes later...he comes up to the gate again. He said, "Mommmmmmy"...I come over and he looks down and says, "Poopies". Yes, he says it. LOL! I looked at the floor and it didn't hit me right away. 2 seconds later...I picked him up and low and behold...he didn't have a diaper on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was cracking up. He had a short outfit/onesie on and had taken his diaper off and you couldn't tell because the snaps where still snapped between his legs! He peed on the floor and then told me by saying "Poopies"! Do you think we should start potty training him? LOL!!! He's so cute. He ate pudding tonight and I took some pictures...I'll have to share those later. I've got to get to bed. Later!

I made it to round 3 at the Ultimate Digi Scrapper contest. I never thought in a million years I'd make it this far...so, I'm excited. I'm even more excited about my layout for this week! It was an okay layout until I came up with the dandelion seeds made up of Dani's stitches! Then, it was cool...THEN, I decided to "paint" a little fluff and BAM! That was it! I've got the WOW factor. LOL! So, no matter what happens, I love my layout and I'm proud of myself. You can see my layout here:
http://www.digiscrappin.biz/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=6542&cat=500&ppuser=1460 Check out the competition too. There are some amazing layouts. Only 40 will move on to the next round. I'm so glad I'm not a judge!
5.11.2006
Just imagine Tristin, who is 3 1/2 and just now potty trained, but wearing a pull up at night, leaning on the couch looking at a book. Paxtin walked over to Tristin and leaned down in that cute toddler kind a way and pulled open his pull up (by his butt) and said..."Poopies?" Oh my goodness...I laughed soooooo hard.
There was another one, but I can't remember! I'll have to ask David.
[Preschool....how could I forget?]
For some unknown reason, I thought I was supposed to sign Tristin up for preschool in the Fall. HELLO? The Fall? I called my friend Karen that works at the Parks & Rec office this morning to sign Tristin up for summer preschool. During the conversation...oh to cut it short, I just plain forgot! Thank the Lord Almighty they still had room for him. He'll be in the 3 year old preschool this summer 2 days a week and then in the Fall he'll go the 4 year old preschool (he'll turn 4 like a week after they start). Then, next year he'll go to the 5 year old preschool because he won't be able to start kindergarten until he's 6.
[Bookstore, Lunch & Wally World]
I took Tristin and Paxtin to Borders today to find a book. I've been wanting an Ali Edwards' book and thought I'd try to find it for my Mother's Day present. LOL! Yes, David asked what I wanted and I haven't given him an answer yet, so I thought I'd go look for it. Not a big deal. Borders didn't have it (that's okay I can get it cheaper at Amazon.com). So, I FINALLY picked up a copy of Digital Scrapbooks 5 (is that what it's called?). I was smiling from ear to ear. The layout on the cover is by Michelle Pearson, someone who is on the FishScraps team with me and is co-owner of Digiscrapin.biz. Then, inside there are tons of layouts by people I know on the boards...and a feature article on Amy Tanabe (I am on her team too)! I've decided I need to try harder at getting published in Simple Scrapbooks and Creating Keepsakes. I want people to see my layouts (and boys)! LOL!
Then, we went to lunch. We went and picked David up at his work and went through Burger King's drive-thru...only because Paxtin had fallen asleep and we figured he'd sleep longer if we just did that. Of course, he woke up as soon as we got our food. We ate, took David back to work and then went to Wally World. You know what I'm excited about? I found cheap golf bags, etc. for the boys. You know, the plastic ones that will probably only last one summer. ;) Anakin has been making golf courses in our yard this Spring and I told him I'd try to find one this summer. Hee heee heeeee....can't wait to see him playing with it. I did get a set for each of the boys because you know what would happen if I only got ONE. UGH! That's why I'm so happy about them being cheap! Uhhh...we got some food and diapers and came home. Fun fun!
Okay, one last thing. Carrie at www.fishscraps.com has a new kit that I am soooo in love with!
I'm working on a layout with it right now. ;)
Time to pick up Anakin from school. :)
5.10.2006
He's got the fever...had to stay home from work today. Anakin still had it last night when he went to bed, so he stayed home from school again today. But, he woke up without a fever and it never came back. Thank God! He'll go back to school tomorrow. Now I'm the only one that has NOT had it. That's usually the way it goes. Hopefully, it'll miss me this time too!
[Round 2's Layout]
You can see it here: http://www.digiscrappin.biz/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=6221&cat=500&ppuser=1460. I am very proud of this layout. I think it's my favorite ever...I can't believe I'm saying that because it has ME in it! LOL! Even if I don't make it to the next round, I'm good with it. I did my best. (Carrie, you were right!)
5.08.2006
I'm the one they are lifting at www.scrapartist.com this week. This site is one of my very favorites! (I'm not just saying that!) Check out this thread and join in the fun!

[It has hit boy #1]
It started with boy #3, moved to #2 (and he still has it) and now is has #1. What is it? A fever! No clue why...it lasted a few days with Paxtin, this is Tristin's 2nd day and Anakin's 1st. UGH!!!!
Well, I made it to round 2 of the Ultimate Digi Scrapper contest! Another week of my stomach being in knots. LOL! This week we have to do a layout about how we see ourselves. Great. I think I'll have Tristin take some pictures of me this afternoon. He loves to do it and I'll get some fun pictures (off a little, candid - because I'll be trying to tell him to hold still, etc.) Should be fun.
5.05.2006
Anakin had his first school program tonight. They were soooo cute. Two of the kindergarten classes performed together (the other two had a seperate concert) and with the 1st grade. Let me tell you that these kids are so well behaved. Yes, Anakin can get crazy and disobedient, but man, he's good in school. :) Here is one picture (I won't bore you with the rest!): Anakin is in the first row in the middle (no tie). Regan is to his right...this is the little girl that Anakin says he's going to marry (and Dawson and Adam or was it Autsyn...were going to move in with them)! Sorry about the demon eyes...I'm too tired to worry about it right now. The rest of Anakin's class is all to the left of Regan.
After the program we walked to the little garden the school has. We decided since the boys were all dressed up, we'd take their "Easter picture". See...because we spent the afternoon in the basement due to a tornado warning, we didn't get pictures...at least not the group shot. I am soooo happy with this picture (except I know that Anakin is really being silly and biting his lip, but he still looks cute). So, this is Anakin (6), Paxtin (15 months) and Tristin (3 1/2). Aren't they handsome!
I have more pictures, but they will have to wait until after the weekend. It's National Scrapbook Day or weekend...and I'm going to crop at Nicole's house (www.nicolehillary.blogspot.com) with her and Ann on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Hmmm...that reminds me, I need to go buy a few kits. I'll report back with what I get. :)
Patty! I know I need to email you too. If you see this, I promise to do so and to send more pictures. If you haven't seen the picture of David on my blog....you'll be in for a shocker. You might want Travis to sit down before he sees it. LOL! (By the way, Mom and Dad haven't seen it either...)
NIGHT!
5.02.2006
We can't post them on our blogs, so here's a link:
http://www.digiscrappin.biz/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=5644&cat=500&ppuser=1460.
Now, I feel like I'm going to puke. :P I want to change it and change it and change it again. Not sure I'll ever be totally happy with it. I'm a perfectionist. Blah! I'd just like to make it through the first round...that's all I am hoping for.
